If you’re into food and not into pretension, few inauguration events sounded cooler than Art and Soul chef Art Smith’s Chefs Ball, a late-night charity bash spotlighting the D.C. dining scene.
The Jan. 19 gathering — billed as a come-as-you-are gathering for people who are coming from balls or avoiding them altogether — will feature small bites prepared by chefs such as Toki Underground's Erik Bruner-Yang, Graffiato's Mike Isabella and Rock Harper of D.C. Central Kitchen and TV's “Hell's Kitchen.” Proceeds will go to the charities chosen by the chefs, including the Cambodian Children's Fund and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Naturally, it promptly sold out.
The good news today is that Art and Soul just tweeted that more tickets have been made available for the party, which also includes an open bar and live music. Get your tickets here.
