In town for his gig hosting the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony tonight, Neil Patrick Harris took a grand tour of D.C. dining establishments Wednesday night. And he did D.C. foodies proud: While most celebrities stick to the $$$-rated restaurants near the fancy hotels when they’re passing through town, NPH went to Chinatown’s Graffiato, H Street’s Toki Underground, and the U Street area’s Izakaya Seki, tweeting all the while. He gave each restaurant high marks. When locals learned that Harris would be dining among them, they also tweeted their praise and recommendations.
@actuallynph Great choices! Try Founding Farmers or Ted's Bulletin for brekkie. And don't forget a half smoke at Ben's Chili!!— Lucy C E (@flvrfndr) December 6, 2012
(Editor’s note: “Brekkie?” STOP IT.)
Final stop on my DC Dining train: Izakaya Seki. Delicious, true Japanese meal served by a father/daughter duo. Great sake, too. 'Night.— Neil Patrick Harris (@ActuallyNPH) December 6, 2012
