Plan ahead for January, February and March

New year, new batch of events to look forward to. As we do every three months around here, we’ve compiled a list of the best events you’ll want to have on your radar in the months ahead; you’ll also see this list in Friday’s Weekend section.

Some dates to be aware of in the weeks ahead: an Alice B. Toklas-inspired dinner at Artisphere and the opening of Meryl Streep’s turn as Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady” on Jan. 13; opening night of “La Cage aux Folles” at the Kennedy Center on Jan. 17; and a collection of Annie Leibovitz’s photos, “Pilgrimage,” at the American Art Museum on Jan. 20.
