Plan ahead for the rest of 2011

It’s not that long ago that we were perspiring under Mother Nature’s yoke. Now, it’s practically sweater season (though this being D.C., we haven’t put the short sleeves away just yet) and we’re starting to look for things to keep us entertained and warm at the same time.

Film festivals! Comedy shows! A museum installation that artfully demonstrates how much food an average person would consume on a trip to Mars! Those are just a few of the many can’t-miss options in the months ahead that are highlighted in our most recent planning calendar, which you’ll find in Friday’s Weekend section. Can’t wait until then? Have a look at the list right here, right now.

Alex Baldinger is editor of the Going Out Guide blog, which covers food, drink, arts, music, events and other curiosities in the D.C. area. He is forever in search of a great sandwich.
