Your free time this upcoming weekend may be consumed by the holidays, but it is still a weekend after all. Hurry up and finish your shopping, light your menorah or tree, wrap your presents and head out to the best events this weekend, a list of which we have compiled for you. Check out a few highlights here.

The Wu-Tang Clan’s lineup is never a sure thing. But, in true holiday spirit, the rap troupe’s biggest names are all getting together for their show at the State Theatre, and there’s predicted to be a rare RZA appearance.

The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, died on Christmas morning five years ago. DJ Soul Call Paul will take to the turntables at the Black Cat to spin Brown’s music, making for an extra funky Christmas.

Even if all you want to do on Christmas Day is eat Chinese food, watch a movie and drink a beer, there’s an event for that, too. Head to the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, for an all-you-can-eat buffet of Chinese food, beer tastings and screenings of “The Princess Bride,” “Spaceballs” and “The Big Lebowski.”

See the rest of our picks for the best events this weekend.
