Thursday, we asked for your votes for 2011’s best new restaurant. Today, we’re thinking about the year’s best new bar. While there were some high-end additions (most notably the revamped Josephine and Silver Spring’s super-sized Fillmore concert hall), the vast majority of openings were low-fuss neighborhood spots. Even McNasty’s.
We could make arguments for a number of spots, but we’re going to leave the voting to you.
You’ll see we left out all establishments mentioned in the Best New Restaurant poll, even though Fiola serves some of the most sophisticated cocktails in town, and the live country music at Hill Country and vintage video games at Virtue Feed & Grain could warrant inclusion in this list. If you love ‘em, write ‘em in.
