‘Taken 2’ beats ‘Argo’ at weekend box office

In this weekend’s box office battle between Liam Neeson’s “Taken” sequel and Ben Affleck’s Iranian hostage drama “Argo,” Neeson eked out a win, earning $22.5 million. “Argo,” which Post critic Ann Hornaday lauds as a “captivating, expertly machined political thriller,” trailed not far behind, bringing in $20.1 million for the weekend. The film is already getting Oscar buzz, both for Affleck’s acting as well as his directing.
