Toro y Moi to play free show at Sweetgreen this afternoon

Toro y Moi's Chaz Bundick will provide a nice spring soundtrack. (Kyle Gustafson/FTWP)

Don’t have lunch plans today? (Besides chatting with the Gurus, that is?) Then head out to Sweetgreen’s Logan Circle location, where electro-pop standouts Toro y Moi will play a free show at 1 p.m. Chaz Bundick - who has risen through the haze of electro-pop acts that have taken hold of the indie underground - and his band will play a free midday set before their sold-out gig tonight at Rock & Roll Hotel. (The Sweetgreen folks are bringing you next month’s Sweetlife Festival with the Strokes, Girl Talk and more.) Tell your boss you’re taking a long lunch. And also that you’re leaving early, because R&B singer Angie Stone is also playing a free show later this afternoon, at The Park at 14th.

Click Track we picked some other artists we wouldn’t mind seeing play on a sunny spring day.
