In honor of the humble flower, we want you to send in haikus (the three-line poems that have five syllables in the first, seven in the second and five in the third). The author of the winning verse receives a gorgeous new coffee table book, “Cherry Blossoms,” the official book of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
We’ve teamed up with the upcoming poetry festival Split This Rock for the judging; area poets Venus Thrash and Jose Padua, who perform at the festival March 23-24, will pick our winner, whom we’ll announce here on the Going Out Gurus blog on March 22. So be sure to get your entries in soon.
