You need some weekend plans, and we have plenty to recommend: 16 of the best concerts, beer festivals, art exhibitions and Francophone nightclub parties, to be exact. Among the highlights:

Jens Lekman

The Swedish troubadour’s heartfelt and slyly funny indie-pop hits will inspire plenty of introspection as well as mass singalongs.

Snallygaster

A family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration from the team behind ChurchKey and Rustico, Snallygaster features 100 beers to sample, food from various restaurants, live music and lawn games.

Roy Lichtenstein: A Retrospective

The largest display of his work since his death in 1997, this exhibition features 134 of Lichtenstein’s pieces from every major period in his career.

BYT Presents: French Underground

The French Embassy hosts two nights of live music, DJs, art, French short films, food, beer and champagne. Friday features Wax Tailor and White Life; Saturday features Tomorrow’s World (with members of Air and New Young Pony Club) and Housse de Racket.
