Win tickets to the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony

Don’t look now, but the holiday season is fast approaching. The National Park Service announced this morning that the lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Three thousand seated tickets and 14,000 standing room tickets will be available for the public. As in past years, all tickets will be given away through on online lottery. Visit www.thenationaltree.org between 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 and 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29 to enter. Winners will be notified by e-mail by Thursday, Nov. 1.
