Share your best last-minute date ideas and win a last-minute Valentine’s Day date

If you haven’t made Valentine’s Day plans yet, don’t panic, but do look here. We’ve posted lists of D.C.’s most romantic places. We’ve compiled 10 date ideas for $20 or less, most of which don’t require reservations. We’ve suggested dozens of Metro-accessible dates on one handy map.

Kennedy Center

Tell us about your favorite romantic date ideas — maybe the view from the Kennedy Center’s terrace? — and you could win tickets to see Haim at U Street Music Hall on Valentine’s Night. (Dominic Bracco II for The Washington Post)

And we’re still giving you one more shot: During tomorrow’s Got Plans? discussion, we’re looking for your top last-minute date idea. Something spontaneous and romantic that tells your date how you feel about them without requiring a ton of forethought. (Not that we would ever encourage someone not to plan for Valentine’s Day. Of course not.)

The best submission will win tickets to see Haim at U Street Music Hall on Thursday night. (Talk about last-minute date ideas!) The three 20-something sisters won the BBC’s “Sound of 2013″ competition, named the most promising act of the year by a vote of more than 200 critics and industry insiders. Their harmony-rich synthpop is smooth, infectious and perfect for a date night. Given that recent winners of the same contest include Adele and Ellie Goulding, it could be a chance to say you saw Haim way back when.
