A magical night at the Black Cat

February 15, 2013

Since the beginning of the year, the Black Cat has been hosting a weekly "Muggle Mondays" party with free screenings of the Harry Potter films (in order) and discounted "Butterbeer." This week, Harry and the Potters, a Massachusetts indie-rock band that writes songs about (what else?) events in the Harry Potter books, will perform before the showing of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Harry and the Potters, we've posted a representative sample of songs below.

Fritz Hahn has covered bars, drinks and nightlife for the Washington Post Weekend Section since 2003, but he also writes about everything from Civil War battlefields to sailing classes. You can find him on Twitter and Instagram.
