Map: Peak bloom is here, and the cherry blossoms are there, there and there

It may feel as though we've hopscotched directly from winter to summer, but there's at least one sure sign of spring making its presence felt this week: the cherry blossoms, which are now at peak bloom according to the National Park Service.

It would be irresponsible for us to encourage workplace truancy, so let's just say it looks like a great week for an early-to-mid-afternoon dentist appointment, doesn't it? And if your dentist's office happens to be near the Tidal Basin, here's our map of the best cherry blossom locations. While you're there, share your photos with #wpblossoms and look for them on The Post’s pretty Cherry Blossoms Grid.
