D’Angelo, Erykah Badu on the same bill, and other big D.C. shows on sale soon

With Bob Dylan, Wilco, Counting Crows, and Patty Griffin going on sale, it's a great week for Americana tickets. Then again, with Diana Ross, Erykah Badu and D'Angelo also going on sale, it's a great week for soul, too. Lil Wayne and Ke$ha make it a solid week for chart-topping pop star tickets, and straight-up rock-and-roll is doing alright with Robert Plant and ZZ Top. Check out these shows going on sale this week:

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketfly for:

• Summer Spirit Festival with D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Rare Essence, Black Alley and Hiatus Kaiyote, Aug. 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion ($44-$125).
• Mad Decent Block Party with Major Lazer, Zed's Dead, SBTRKT (DJ Set), Griz, Skream, Lunice and Riff Raff, Aug. 2 at Merriweather Post Pavilion ($30-$75).
