Capital Fringe Festival shows announced, tickets on sale now

Maura already gave you 10 things to look forward to during this summer's Capital Fringe Festival, which runs July 11-28. But now there are 129 other items to get excited about. The whole overwhelming list of shows was announced this morning, and tickets are on sale now.

There's a good mix of familiar groups (the puppeteering Pointless Theater, improv masters dog & pony dc and the clowning Faction of Fools, among many others) and new performers taking over multiple venues around town, with wacky show titles like "Disco Jesus and the Apostles of Funk" and "In Search of the Perfect G-String."

Tickets are $17 per show plus the $5 button, and there are a handful of multi-pass options for those planning on hitting up a bunch of different shows. Head over to the new Capital Fringe site for the full rundown.

Washington-area native Stephanie Merry covers movies, theater and art for Weekend and the Going Out Guide. She’s also the section’s de facto expert on yoga, gluten-free dining and bicycle commuting.
