D.C. artists will be pulling another all-nighter on Sept. 28. That's when Art All Night D.C. returns to Shaw for another dusk-til-(almost)-dawn celebration of local creativity.
Based on the Paris's Nuit Blanche festival, Art All Night will bring together performers, musicians, poets, fashion designers and visual artists for the third year. Artsy night-owls can stroll among 12 different venues in Shaw, with most of the action taking place in the Wonder Bread Factory, a revitalized Hostess warehouse that has begun a second life as an occasional space for art and events. The free events begin at 7 p.m. and end at 3 a.m., and while the roster is yet to be announced, you can expect street and graffiti artists, DJ sets, burlesque, and fashionistas sipping cocktails amid roaming photographers.
By then, several of the new restaurants coming to Shaw will have opened as well, so you can build some foodie destinations into your night of art. Check out a video from last year for an overview:
