This post has been updated.

The English Premier League returns to action this weekend, and fans all over the area are returning to the familiar ritual of waking up early on Saturdays and Sundays, putting on a replica jersey and heading down to a pub to watch the match. Even though NBC will show every match across its broadcast and online platforms, there's something special about watching your favorite team in a noisy room with people wearing the same jersey you are.

We've updated our complete list of the area's top soccer bars for the start of the new European season. Whether you're a fan of Arsenal, Barcelona or Celtic, we know where you should head. After all, no one wants to be the lone Everton fan at a Liverpool hangout.

Who are we missing? D.C. fan groups, let us know.

Elephant & Castle: FC Barcelona

Flanagan's Harp & Fiddle: Celtic

Ireland's Four Courts: Chelsea, Newcastle

Irish Channel Pub: Tottenham Hotspur

Lucky Bar: Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid

The Queen Vic: Liverpool

Fado Irish Pub: Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton or Arsenal

Summers Grill and Sports Pub: Bayern Munich
