Last chance for Hill Country’s Backyard Barbecue

September 10, 2013

Time was, we were young and summer was spread before us, with nothing but after-work margaritas and boot-scootin' to look forward to. Now here we are in early September and that's all coming to an end, which is to say that Hill Country's Backyard Barbecue at the National Building Museum is packing it up for fall.

You have but a handful of chances remaining to enjoy the sounds and smells of summer on the museum's lawn. Thursday features an outdoor version of Hill Country's live band karaoke with the HariKaraoke Band from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Friday, Johnny Grave & the Tombstones perform while Hill Country's pitmasters serve whole hog barbecue. The final barbecue of the season is Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with live music by Crushed Out.

Sigh. Here's Frank to set the end-of-summer mood:
