9:30 Club offers two-for-one tickets for October shows

The 9:30 Club has some welcome news for anyone worried about the financial costs of furloughs and shutdowns: Tickets for nine October shows at the 9:30 Club, U Street Music Hall, Lincoln Theatre and Merriweather Post Pavilion are now buy one, get one free. All you have to do to take advantage of the "Affordable Ticket Act" is purchase one or two tickets before 11:59 p.m. Wednesday using the promo code 930ATA. The free tickets will be available at will call on the night of the show. (Each person is allowed to buy up to two tickets, which means two more come free.)

If you were thinking about seeing Chazz Palminteri's one-man "A Bronx Tale"; Clap Your Hands Say Yeah; a night of local rock with Middle Distance Runner and Teen Mom; or Pharrell Williams sharing the stage with Steve Aoki, this should spur you to buy tickets.

Oct. 4: The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala and The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger at Merriweather Post Pavilion
Oct. 5: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at the 9:30 Club
Oct. 9: Soul Asylum, Fountains of Wayne and Evan Dando at the 9:30 Club
Oct. 17: Lee Fields and the Expressions at the 9:30 Club
Oct. 25: Steve Aoki with Pharrell Williams, Waka Flocka Flame, Borgore and Garmiani at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
