The Pizza Underground, Macaulay Culkin’s pizza-themed cover band, will play the Black Cat

Friday is the perfect day for fans of the Velvet Underground, pizza, Macaulay Culkin and, especially, all of the above: It's when tickets go on sale for the Pizza Underground, Culkin's pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band, who will perform March 21 at the Black Cat.

If you missed it when it went viral last month, the band started as a jokey side project, but with the addition of the former child star, a viral feature on Buzzfeed and a meme-like, unending well of fan art, the Pizza Underground has turned into a full-fledged touring act. Their songs include "I'm Waiting for the Delivery Man," "I'm Beginning to Eat the Slice," and "Cheese Days."

Think of it this way: It might be your only chance to see a grown-up Kevin McAllister play the kazoo and sing about Papa John's. Caulkin is very dedicated to the joke, too -- he's even recreated a pizza-themed version of a famous video of Andy Warhol eating a hamburger.

Tickets are $15. And since you'll definitely want to eat pizza before or after you see this show, here's a list of all the pizzerias on 14th Street.
