You’ve waited in line to see all the animated shorts at the National Archives. You slammed shots of espresso to make it through all 24 hours of the AMC Best Picture Showcase. Now, one question remains: Where are you going to watch the Oscars?

After weeks of cramming, you don’t want to spend March 2 on your sofa. There’s something wonderful about putting on a glam outfit and sipping themed cocktails with fellow film buffs who actually care about who takes home the statues for film editing or best foreign language film — or at least pretend to for one night.

Degenerates + DeGeneres
The Brixton, 901 U St. NW. 202-560-5045. www.brixtondc.com. Free.
The Brixton’s first Academy Awards party has an interactive component: The rooftop bar will have a “red carpet” area with a photo booth and props, plus DJ Dee Dub providing the soundtrack. Meanwhile, the ceremony will play on all screens with full sound on the loungelike second floor. Champagne specials will be offered throughout the building: $6 glasses of bubbly or $8 champagne cocktails. Doors open at 5 p.m. for pre-show red carpet viewing.

DC Film Society
Arlington Cinema ’N’ Drafthouse, 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington. 703-486-2345. www.dcfilmsociety.org. $20; $15 members.
Serious cinephiles flock to this annual party for the best Oscars viewing around: The ceremony plays on Arlington Cinema ’N’ Drafthouse’s full-size movie screen. Arrive early to browse a silent auction loaded with collector’s items; last year’s selection included a complete set of Star Wars Blu-Ray discs autographed by George Lucas and a mounted “End of Watch” poster signed by actor Michael Pena. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Glamour, Glitter and Gold
Town Danceboutique, 2009 Eighth St. NW. 202-682-2245. www.thedccenter.org. $15; $45 VIP.
A fundraiser for the DC Center, which provides services to Washington’s LGBT community, the ninth annual Glamour, Glitter and Gold at Town Danceboutique offers more than just the ceremony on projection screens. There are Oscars-themed trivia games, DJs spinning party tunes and a drag performance by Team Peaches. A limited amount of seating is available; you can guarantee a spot with a VIP ticket, which also includes a swag bag and hors d’oeuvres. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Helix Lounge’s Oscar Happy Hour
Helix Lounge, 1430 Rhode Island Ave. NW. 202-462-9001. www.helixlounge.com. Free.
Helix doesn’t have as many screens as the other parties — and its 46-inch flatscreens might not be much bigger than what you have at home — but the Kimpton Hotel lounge offers an A-list menu of food and drink specials inspired by the best picture nominees. This year’s menu includes the Cowboy Cocktail, with Hornitos tequila and fresh agave, and a “Wolf of Wall Street”-worthy twist on a Manhattan. Doors open at 5 p.m. Featured drinks are $8 until 11 p.m.

Second Annual Commissary Oscars Viewing Party
Commissary, 1443 P St. NW. 202-797-7227. www.commissarydc.com. Free.
Commissary’s party features film-inspired food and drinks, so you can dine on the Wolf of Wall Street (lobster ravioli in a lemon white wine sauce) and wash it down with Rosalyn's Nail Polish (a tribute to “American Hustle”). There’s also a free popcorn bar with Sriracha, cinnamon bun and other unusual flavors, which will now cost $5. The Red Carpet Happy Hour runs from 4 to 8 p.m., and everyone receives one Oscar-themed cocktail on the house. The ceremony will be shown on a wall-sized projection screen, and prizes, including Commissary gift certificates and Studio Theatre tickets, will be given away throughout the night.

Snuggle With the Stars
U.S. Navy Memorial’s Burke Theatre, 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. 202-393-4266. snuggle.dcshorts.com. $25; $50 VIP.
Forget Dior Couture dresses: You can stay comfortable in your favorite pajamas at the Snuggle With the Stars Oscar-viewing party. Watch the show on a two-story high-definition screen while sipping on beer, wine and soft drinks or snacking on a buffet of munchies. (Spring for the $50 VIP ticket and you get upgraded to pizza and cocktails.) Proceeds benefit the D.C. Shorts Film Festival and the Washington Jewish Film Festival.
