Union Market Drive-In returns April 18

With warm weather back -- at least for a bit -- it's time to start thinking about outdoor movie series. Or, at least outdoor-optional movie series. The Union Market Drive-In falls into that latter category and the series kicks off this Friday.

If you have a car, you can park and watch for $10. If you don't, you can camp out on a blanket and watch for free. But given the weather forecast, the carless among us might consider bribing auto-owning friends. A fair trade for a warm place to watch could be dinner from one of the many food destinations at Union Market and drinks at Suburbia, the cocktail-selling Airstream trailer.

You can buy tickets online for the movies. Gates are open for cars from 6 p.m. until 7:45, and movies begin at 8. Here's the schedule:

April 18: "National Lampoon’s Vacation"

April 2425: "Frozen"

May 2: "Diner"

May 9: People’s choice, James Bond edition. Choose from " From Russia With Love," "The Spy Who Loved Me" or "Goldfinger"
