Riding a wave of hometown, sandwich-loving patriotism, the USA emerged victorious in the 2014 World Cup of Sandwiches final. The Bobbie, the Capriotti's sandwich appointed as the nation's standard-bearer, defeated the German döner from Döner Bistro, taking 61 percent of the 1,476 votes.

The Bobbie is Thanksgiving on a roll, with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo. #America.

Next up for the Bobbie: A string of endorsement deals, a flurry of tabloid headlines and the never-too-early-to-ask question of whether a 2018 repeat is probable, or merely possible.
