Nuit Blanche / Art All Night returns Sept. 27

Last year's Nuit Blanche/Art All Night festival took over Shaw with late-night parties, performances and exhibits. This year, the festival will expand across the city, with night-owl art for Dupont, North Capitol Street, Congress Heights and H Street, in addition to Shaw. Save the date: The one-night-only festival is Sept. 27.

A take on Paris's Nuit Blanche festival (and not to be confused with another Parisian import, Sept. 4's Diner en Blanc), Art All Night provides opportunities for performers, musicians, poets, fashion designers and visual artists to show their work to the community, which is all too happy to stay up and party-hop between exhibitions and shows. The events kick off around 7 p.m. and last until 3 a.m. A full lineup of artists will be announced in early September on the event's Facebook page.
