Drinks with a side of dance at Artisphere

Rarely can a happy hour be called moving. But that will be the case

tonight at Artisphere — that globelike cultural center on Wilson Boulevard — when Jane Franklin Dance offers a sneak peek of the season ahead and a selection of libations. The local troupe known for collaborating with artists working in other disciplines has a season lineup that includes the kid-friendly “The Big Meow!,” a race against the clock with the 24 Hour Dance Project, and “Double Take,” which takes the audience on a tour of the Atlas Performing Arts Center. The company will also revisit “Forty +” — performances that incorporate dancers age 40 and older. The $15 admission to the preview includes one drink ticket, and there will be happy hour prices on beer, margaritas and sangria at Artisphere’s Here CafeBar.
