John Wall meets the nine-pound burger from BGR The Burger Joint.
(Alex Baldinger - The Washington Post)
This is the story of a nine-pound cheeseburger and the hard-working, burger-loving journalists who attempted to finish it. Some came by simply to gawk at the thing, while others stood solemnly, expressing concern for the well-being of their co-workers.
As of 2:30 p.m. more than half of BGR The Burger Joint’s mammoth creation — which costs $99.99 and tips the scales at more than 15 pounds including toppings and bun — remained. According to BGR, any individual able to down the thing in one sitting doesn’t have to pay for it — monetarily, at least.
