New Jersey’s newspapers are not kind to Christie

Revelations that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s administration may have exacted political revenge by closing highway lanes has earned the 2016 Republican presidential hopeful some no-doubt-unwanted press.

Each of the 16 New Jersey newspaper front pages listed on the Newseum’s Web site—and even a handful of New York ones—featured the scandal—often in big, splashy ways. One shows Christie wearing a traffic cone as a dunce cap, others call the scandal a “bombshell” and yet another simply asks: “Do you believe him?” Many newspapers couldn’t resist describing the whole affair as a political jam. (Christie now has an 11 a.m. press conference scheduled for Thursday morning.)
