Imam: A foundation of peace

I would like to greet you, with greeting of Islam.  Assalamou Aleykum.  Peace be unto you.  Peace is an essential element of the human being’s life.  Without peace, we would not enjoy life or freedom.  We stand here today to remember the tragic events that resulted in taking thousands of lives of many innocent people.

Your standing here is an expression of caring for human freedom and the value of human life.  As we stand here, we assure and confirm that we are united in establishing peace while at the same time we give our sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives.

It is a universal message that shows the love for spreading happiness and tranquility among people, regardless of their color, race or establishment.

Each one of us can be an element to spread peace and enforce the dignity, honor and value of human life.

Let us continue this walk, talk, discussion and dialogue until we bring clear understanding to the world that human life is dignified by God and that the human soul is sacred.

We must inform the world that God the almighty establishes the fact that peace is the foundation of human relation and the heart desire of every individual and society.

Let us also establish the fact that knowing each other is the road to happiness and peace.
