Donovan McNabb and the Redskins would both benefit from trade

The Redskins and Vikings are expected to work out a deal that would send quarterback Donovan McNabb to Minnesota. (John McDonnell - The Washington Post)
The Redskins and Vikings are expected to reach an agreement that would send quarterback Donovan McNabb to Minnesota for a sixth-round pick in 2012 and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2013.

Wow! I stand corrected. I did not think it would be possible to unload McNabb or Albert Haynesworth, but one down and one more to go.

I’m glad it worked out for McNabb, who needed to restructure his contract so that this trade could happen. He will make much less money, but he has a chance to start and regain his reputation as a elite quarterback. There’s no price tag for that.

I wonder if McNabb will do an interview about his time here in D.C. I doubt it, but it would be great to hear his side of the story.

Good luck No. 5, and congrats to the Redskins for pulling off an improbable trade.
