Brennan’s first CIA dilemma; Bush, Biden on basketball fandom; a Barney Frank quip

John Brennan’s first take at CIA is no picnic. (Manuel Balce Ceneta - AP)
Here’s what the Loop is reading today:

— No honeymoon for John Brennan as the new CIA chief. One of his first jobs is figuring out whether to promote a popular female agent who “2005 decision to destroy videotapes of prisoners being subjected to treatment critics have called torture.” And he thought that Senate confirmation was tough. . ..

— Differences in how former President George W. Bush and Vice President Biden take in basketball games, per ESPN: “While George Bush left before Griner’s two second-half dunks in Waco, Biden was in the gym until the end, watching the Blue Hens celebrate their historic victory.”

— We missed this quip from former Rep. Barney Frank: “My continued sexual attraction to men is [now] more politically acceptable than my attraction to government.”

— A Rep. Todd Akin-inspired episode of “Law & Order” airs tonight!
