First tweens discussed; Clinton’s loyalist praised; and Romney’s secret addiction revealed (read-this roundup)

Here’s what the Loop is reading this morning:

The First Family. (ERIC THAYER - REUTERS)
Growing up in the White House — Lots of fun facts about the “first tweens”in our colleague Krissah Thompson’s look at the Obama girls and how their parents are talking about them (and when they won’t) on the campaign trail. Just your regular kids: no TV on weekends, no Facebook, their favorite show is “Modern Family”.. and they pal around with Beyonce.

Loyal pain — Philippe Reines, the Hillary Clinton lackey/spokesman, has taken a lot of heat after Buzzfeed published a profanity-laden e-mail exchange between him and one of their reporters. But Dana Milbank defends Reines and his old-school values, calling him “an unapologetic loyalist in a town that no longer values loyalty.”

Are there 12 steps for that? — We knew that clean-living Mitt Romney had to be hiding something — turns out, it’s a crippling addiction. Ann Romney’s confession about her husband during an appearance last night on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno: “he’s a playaholic.”
