GOP to challenge Perez; Obama doesn’t speak of the devil; and Bachmann’s food-stamp confusion (read-this roundup)

Here’s what the Loop is reading Tuesday:

Hispanic outreach? — Congressional Republicans signal their opposition to Tom Perez, President Obama’s pick to be Labor Secretary. Wonder how blocking the one Hispanic nominee is going to square with the GOP’s plan to broaden its appeal to minorities...

No speak of the devil — President Obama made no mention of the controversy over an actor playing Satan in the miniseries “The Bible” who bears a striking resemblance to him — even though he was at an event with one of the show’s producers.

Penny foolish — Rep. Michele Bachmann said that of every dollar spent on food stamps, 70 cents goes to bureaucrats. Um... not even close, says our Fact Checker. More like one third of 1 percent. But math is hard!

Cabinet digs — Former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s Bethesda house is for sale.
