Hyperbole on health care; that other Supreme Court case; DNC official apologizes for Tweet (read-this roundup)

(David Goldman - AP)
What’s the Loop reading this morning?

Deep breaths — There’s an antidote to the doomsday talk about the health-care ruling : Think it’s the end of the world? Eh, probably not.

Back at the ranch — Meanwhile, there was another SCOTUS ruling yesterday striking down a federal law against lying about receiving military honors, “saying the law smacked of an Orwellian Truth Ministry and threatened free speech.”

Quote of the day — “I let my scotus excitement get the better of me. ”

Per the Reliable Source, that was DNC executive director Patrick Gaspard apologizing on Twitter Thursday morning for an earlier tweet celebrating the SCOTUS ruling (“It’s constitutional. Bitches.”)
