Obama hopes for a fourth-quarter win

With the Super Bowl approaching this Sunday, it is probably fitting that President Obama would use a football analogy in his conference call to exhort political appointees at the agencies to keep on plugging.

One person on the call said Obama, whose Chicago Bears didn’t even make the playoffs, reminded the federal employees that they were all “in the fourth quarter” of the first term and that he was a “fourth-quarter player” and that he hoped they were, too.
