The other woman — A revealing profile of Paula Broadwell, including juicy tidbits about her social- and career-climbing prowess.

Changing the guard — If Mitt Romney would just step aside — maybe go check on the horses and no more talk of gifts, mmmkay? — Republicans could get around to figuring out who their new leaders will be. Our colleague Aaron Blake kicks the tires of a few contenders.

Good timing — Rep. Scott DesJarlais must at least be relieved that the transcript of an ugly divorce proceeding — one revealing affairs with his patients and that the publicly anti-abortion Tennessee Republican twice urged his wife to terminate pregnancies — came out only after he coasted to victory in his re-election bid...
