State Department to Congress: Better late than never

Part of the activity has been to send in answers to “questions for the record” (or QFRs) that were posed at the last such hearing — back on March 2, 2011 and other hearings.

Questions for the record — often hundreds of them — usually deal with anything from the absolute minutia — how many widgets and mugs did you buy — to synchronized navel gazing about wither NATO.

They are so important that the committee recently told State to hurry up and get those answers in before the members forget what the questions were.
