The White House announced several nominations Monday afternoon including one to the Environmental Protection Agency, one top military job and one U.S. ambassador post.
Jane Toshiko Nishida is nominated formally be assistant administrator at the EPA’s Office of International and Tribal Affairs, where she is currently in the acting assistant administrator.
Gordon O. Tanner is nominated to be general counsel of the Air Force. He is currently principal deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
Thomas P. Kelly III, of California, a career foreign service officer, is nominated to be U.S. ambassador to the Republic of Djibouti, located in the Horn of Africa.
