Check out Bachmann and King’s pics from the border

If you saw the pictures out of context, it’d be hard to tell whether Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and her pal Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) were on a serious fact-finding trip or a relaxing waterfront vacation.

The conservative pair visited Texas last weekend to see the border crisis firsthand and confirm their previously held belief that, as Bachmann put it, “Everywhere we went, the response was virtually the same: This is a crisis of President Obama’s own making.” (Of course, isn’t everything?)

But it wasn’t all meetings and partisan outrage. Even in the midst of a crisis, it’s important to step back and enjoy the view — and turns out the Rio Grande makes for quite a scenic backdrop to capture the memories.
