The ultimate Rube Goldberg photo shoot

If you’re still in lunch coma, this should snap you out of it.

It’s the afternoon pick-u-up.

David Dvir, lead photographer for 2D Photography Inc. in Canada and his team put together what can only be described as the ultimate Rube Goldberg photo shoot. The team uses nearly every photo tool, from a cell phone to Nintendo’s Mario — yes, Mario — to take photographs and, of course, amuse.

In the video below, Dvir describes the process of creating the intricate maze of pullies, balls, backpacks, iPads, ball bearings and commercial lighting equipment . According to Dvir, the takeaway from the experience, which resulted in a few injuries and one trip to the hospital, was this: “If at first you don’t succeed, try another 98 times.”

Now, back to work.
