Ram Truck's Outdoorsman Trim Returns for 2013

(Cars.com)

An Outdoorsman model will again join the Ram 1500 lineup for 2013. Originally introduced two years ago, the model combines off-road capability and trailer-towing hardware and has become a popular part of the pickup truck's lineup.

Quad and crew cab sizes will be available for 2013, along with two bed lengths, 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet 4 inches. Both beds will be equipped with the RamBox storage compartment. The Outdoorsman will get power from the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, with either last year's six-speed automatic transmission or a new eight-speed automatic.

Outdoorsman-specific features include a standard Class IV receiver hitch, integrated trailer brake controller with driver adjustability, a limited-slip differential, and available trailer-tow mirrors and backup camera, among others.
