Romney: A “Prankster”

Two of Mitt Romney’s top advisors, Eric Fehrnstrom and Peter Flaherty, spoke at length about their candidate at a recent Washington Post Live event: Romney is more of a prankster than you think, his favorite Olympic sport is women’s volleyball and yes, he is going this summer to the London games, having run the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Watch in full what those closest to Romney have to say about him. The big takeaway? Romney’s advisors seemed to want the audience to leave with the notion that it doesn’t matter which candidate is hipper, more likeable and they sure sounded like they were conceding the “cool” factor to President Obama who goes on late night TV and “slow jams” the news with Jimmy Fallon. What matters, the Romney strategists said, is who voters think will create more jobs and lift the economy. Still, they dropped in that their candidate is a prankster.....
