Living wage discussion on WTOP


Bill O’Leary/The Washington Post — The council also voted 8 to 5 in favor of a bill requiring certain large retailers to pay employees a 50 percent premium over the city’s minimum wage.

Today on WTOP, we talked about the D.C. Council’s decision to pass a living-wage bill Wednesday. I wrote a column on one aspect of the matter but Mayor Vincent Gray has not yet commented on whether or not he will veto the bill. Have a listen below.
