If it’s Sunday, it’s a reasonable bet as of late that Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) will be facing off against a well-known Republican on national television.
This Sunday, O’Malley is booked on ABC News’s “This Week,” where he is scheduled to debate Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R). Topics will include “the state of the economy and the latest in the 2012 presidential contest,” according to the show’s Web site.
Last Sunday, O’Malley tangled with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on “Face the Nation,” talking primarily about health care.
Such appearances have picked up considerably this year for O’Malley, who is serving his second term as chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.
