From the fabulous WashCycle via the wondrous JDLand, we learn that city planners are spitballing a proposal to preserve one of two soon-to-be obsolete spans of the old 11th Street Bridge as a “recreation bridge” — a linear park recovered from abandoned infrastructure in the tradition of New York’s High Line or Poughkeepsie Bridge. They can dream, can’t they?
