Why were three Dumpsters full of what appeared to be police and fire personnel records found burning near the D.C. fire academy last Friday? The police and firefighter unions are looking for answers from the city’s inspector general. “It is simply beyond comprehension that this is how records are being handled by the District of Columbia government,” write union chiefs.
