DeEvening Links: Camera vigilante

Someone isn’t too happy about the expansion of the city’s automated speeding cameras. WUSA-TV reports that a mystery man has marked the locations of two cameras with bright orange paint to warn oncoming motorists. Says one driver or the spray-can-wielding vigilante, “He steals from the rich and gives to the poor.” The D.C. police response: “We would prefer that people slow down rather than vandalize government property,” says spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump.
