Many hopes and dreams for our city lies the federal government’s plans for the west campus of St. Elizabeths Hospital. But, as Jonathan O’Connell reports for Sunday Business, a change in congressional moods has put those hopes and dreams — rooted in the planned Department of Homeland Security consolidation effort — in serious doubt. Asked if the consolidation will ever happen, Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) says, “I predict yes, but I can’t tell you when.”
