DeEvening Links: No more Fiesta for Mount Pleasant?

Fiesta D.C., the 2009 edition (Jahi Chikwendiu - The Washington Post)
With newly heated complaints of public drunkeness, excessive noise and parking madness, last month’s Fiesta D.C. had some wondering if the yearly Latino festival had worn out its welcome in Mount Pleasant. Festival organizers appear to have gotten the message, Tim Craig reports at D.C. Wire: “Maria Patricia Corrales, the president of Fiesta D.C., was making the rounds at the John A. Wilson Building Wednesday to try to get council support to have the festival stretch from Columbia Heights north to Petworth on 14th Street NW.”
