A year and a half ago, everyone wanted to know why Pepco was so darn unreliable. And Pepco said, in part, it’s because our customers love their trees so darn much, they don’t want them trimmed. But faced with a huge public uproar, the utility has embarked on a massive pruning campaign in the District and Maryland, and some neighbors are predictably upset. The Post’s Steve Yanda reports on some customers who are wondering if trees vs. power is a “false choice.”
